The daily musings of Kara Lennox, Harlequin romance author.
<-----Coming June 2008
The first in the Second Sons trilogy.
Cooper Remington has been overshadowed by his older brother his whole life. Now, an unexpected inheritance gives him the chance to strike out on his own. He is now the proud owner of a fishing charter service. But the beautiful redhead he finds living on the boat might have something to say about who inherited what.

In another life, I create and sell Memo-Pause(TM), the wearable notebook for the foxy but forgetful woman. Here are a few of the styles:
It was one of those busy days when I couldn't get much done. The alarm guy came to reinstall our old alarm. Apparently this was not an easy job as it took him more than two hours (and I couldn't take my shower until he was done. But I now have a working security system, yay!
After lunch I went to the eye doctor, just for a check-up. He took pictures of the inside of my eyeball (kind of freaks me out) and he tried some new contacts on me in our never-ending quest to find a pair that will allow me to read AND see far away without glasses. I'm not sure I like this pair, but we'll see. My eyes were itching like crazy today so not the best day to fit contacts, anyway.
When I came home my new phone had arrived! It's very pink. Very cute. I spent a lot of time today programming everything but I'm still a bit mystified by it.
We ate dinner at Norma's but since I'd consumed an enormous bag of Cheetos earlier (bad, bad) I wasn't very hungry so I had a salad and a hamburger patty.
Oh, writing? Did I get any done? I provided some materials to my editor (reader letter, page-proof corrections). I posted my Harlequin American Blog (hope you checked it out) and read some more of my plotting book, but clearly I am dragging my feet on these revisions. What I need is a deadline!
Tomorrow I'm off to volunteer with a bird nextbox person--I hope to see some new species to add to my list!
Best,
Kara
