Kara: hey, Betty! Glad your house didn't sink! That would be a major bummer.
Betty Skelly: Hi Kara, been awhile I did not come here. I was busy, we went back to FL again and we got lots of sunshine. We missed the flood here in Northwest but I am thankful that our house did not sunk. We live in a hill and the house was built 1 foot up the ground. I called my friend if we have flood but then it is only at the bridge about 2 miles away from my home. Glad everything went ok. How are you? Got a new book working again huh! cool!
Garf: care to exchange link?
Kara: Hey, Betty! Good to see you. I gotta have the sunshine or I get very depressed!

Yoga

I had my first yoga class in ten days today, and oh did it feel good.  All is right with the world again.  It's amazing how fast my body starts to tense up if I don't practice regularly.  So why don't I?  I'm not sure.

Today's Tour de France was more exciting than I thought it would be.  Phil Liggett, one of the main announcers, said "poor old Vinnikourov" one too many times.  The Kazakstan (I can't spell it) rider got something like sixty stitches after a nasty crash a few days ago and is still riding, but he's been losing time.  Suddenly today he decided to lead a charge.  Just when the wind changed, he and his team put on a burst of speed and they broke up the peleton.  He had hoped many of the main contenders would get caught snoozing, and he was partly right--one man did.

With many of the sprinters caught in the trailing group, some opportunisits raced for the stage win.  Robbie Hunter, the first ever African to win a stage, was the winner, but my man Fabian Cancellera came in second.

The strategy and tactics of this bike race blow my mind.  I apologize if bicycling bores you stiff, but I'm obsessed.

Had lunch with Judy and Vicki today at the Blue Goose.  Tacos with blackened tilapia--yum!  I returned some overdue library books (oops) and when I got back in the car the wind caught me by surprise and I smashed my head in the car door.  I've closed car doors onto legs and arms before, but never my head.  I had to check in the mirror to be sure I still had ears!

Glad you stopped by,

Kara
