Betty Skelly: Hi Kara, been awhile I did not come here. I was busy, we went back to FL again and we got lots of sunshine. We missed the flood here in Northwest but I am thankful that our house did not sunk. We live in a hill and the house was built 1 foot up the ground. I called my friend if we have flood but then it is only at the bridge about 2 miles away from my home. Glad everything went ok. How are you? Got a new book working again huh! cool!

We have food in the house

  • Where did I walk/ride? Norma's and the library, 7655 steps`
  • Treasures found: 1 dollar (!) 1 dime, 1 nickel and 3 pennies

I finally went to the grocery store today.  It was something of a desperate situation.  I think that is the first time I have ever completely filled a grocery cart, but everything looked so delicious I showed no restraint.  Cherries.  Avocado.  Vine-ripened tomatoes.  Yum.  I came home and made guacamole right away.

But first, we watched the Tour (time trial today, interesting results).  Then, starving, we walked to Norma's.  Our favorite neighborhood dive has replaced all of its tables and booths.  I'm not sure I like it.  A really good diner should be a bit run down.

Not much else going on except it rained.  Wahoo.  I've so enjoyed our wet summer and I was starting to worry that it was all over.
