After lunch, Rob and I walked to Kidd Springs Park, where we saw the yellow-crowned night heron again. (Not sure why he's a night heron since I've only seen him during the day, walking around in plain sight.) There was a great egret, too, hanging out with all the ducks and turtles. Personally, I think it's a great way to de-brief yourself, so to speak, and give your mind a chance to absorb and digest everything. I've heard that many writers find mindless entertainment a great way to de-stress after finishing the final pages (and re-writes, and read-throughs, and proof-reading, and all the rest of it) of a book.
Give yourself a good break, now, and enjoy the summer weather.
