In another life, I create and sell Memo-Pause(TM), the wearable notebook for the foxy but forgetful woman. Here are a few of the styles:
But I only have one day left to get ready for conference.
Today I finished up the shopping. I am the queen of bargains, lemme tell ya! But shopping on a budget takes more time and energy than simply walking into a department store. I was exhausted, but fortunately a good yoga class revived me. I also ate a lovely lentil soup for dinner. Even Rob liked it, and he is not a big soup person.
Earlier I watche the Tour de France. A big pile-up in the last couple of miles threw the finish line into a tizzy. I was horrified to see Fabian Cancelera, my Swiss cutie and the yellow jersey rider, holding his arm and grimacing in pain as he limped to the finish line, along with quite a few others who did not escape the wreckage unscathed. But so far, the word is no one was seriously injured. So Fabian gets to wear yellow at least one more day. (When there is an "incident" that close to the finish line, the judges allow you to keep the same time as whatever group you were in. Since all the riders were together in a clump, all got the same time.)
See you tomorrow,
Kara
That's the risk with these kinds of races, though; all it takes is one little error, and everything can come to a screeching halt...
