In another life, I create and sell Memo-Pause(TM), the wearable notebook for the foxy but forgetful woman. Here are a few of the styles:
I got up at 6:30 to watch the Tour de France. Very exciting day. Just when I think I know what is going to happen, these guys surprise me.
The rest of the day I worked. I mean, I worked hard. I started with 127 "comments" in my manuscript. These are notes I made to myself when I did the read through--scenes that need to be revised, points that need to be researched, lame descriptions that need to be jazzed up, questions that need to be answered, inconsistencies, dropped plot threads, flat dialogue, etc. etc. etc.
Today I whittled it down to 116. I added five pages, but I also cut a whole lot, so God only knows how much I really wrote today.
So what better wayt o celebrate than to eat dinner at Norma's? I had a bowl of potato soup and half a BLT. Very satisfying.
Tomorrow is a rest day for the bike riders, so I'll be sad! But maybe I can get more work done. It's hard to get anything done when you're spending four hours a day watching men in tights.
