Betty Skelly: Hi Kara, been awhile I did not come here. I was busy, we went back to FL again and we got lots of sunshine. We missed the flood here in Northwest but I am thankful that our house did not sunk. We live in a hill and the house was built 1 foot up the ground. I called my friend if we have flood but then it is only at the bridge about 2 miles away from my home. Glad everything went ok. How are you? Got a new book working again huh! cool!

No Rest for the Wicked

Pages Written Today: Edited 35 (well, I read through them.)
Where did I walk/ride? Library and hardware store, 5228 steps
Treasures found: 1 quarer, 1 dime and 4 pennies

This morning I jumped right into my serial killer book. Every time I pick it up, I can't remember where I was on revisions and so I have to start from the beginning. But I swear, this time I'm in it for the long haul. I have no more writing commitments at this time, so I can finally give this book the time and attention it needs. I got to page 35. So far, so good.

After walking to the library and the hardware store to buy new locks for our gates (we've lost the keys to our old ones) I did spend a little time straightening up, as I've let the piles build up everywhere while trying to finish the Harlequin book. I can see the top of my desk again, and the top of the coffee table and the dining room table (not that we ever eat there!). I still have more to do but I've made some headway. If I do an hour per day I can get the clutter under control again.

Okay, I've never really gotten my clutter under control, but maybe I can get it manageable.

Tonight I spent an hour on the phone with my friend Carla Cassidy from Kansas City. We used to be very close when I lived in Kansas City, but now we are bad about calling each other (me especially). It's been fun to watch her career soar--we started as baby authors together.
